Using another forum with Xoops

I have phbb installed and have been using it for a whie and as such it has a number of posts.

Can i get the forum button on XOOPS to point to this folder rather than using the built in one?

Also is it possibe to use the user table on the forum for the login credntials for xoops?

You can use the MultiMenu module to create your own menu to anywhere on your site, also can add the link in your theme somewhere to point to your forum.

Otherwise, also take a look at http://www.bbpixel.com for integrated forum modules available.
