I need to add a html link in the main menu that only shows to my "family" group and "admin" group.

What is the proper code for something like this?

{if $xoops_group_is "family"} & {if $xoops_isadmin}>

<
a href="link1.htm">family group linka>

<{else}>

<
a href="link2.htm">link for everyone elsea>

Thanks for the help.

Well unless you are dead set on diplaying this in the user menu, you could make a custom block, place your desired url into this block, go to your admin panel, go to groups, and adjust the acces rights there. you can weight and place the block beneath your user menu and even call it something like "Family Links" or "User Links"... essentially you could create a special menu for each group by adding as many links as you need.
