Hi,
Newly Uploaded modules have suddenly stopped appearing in the admin panel, No error message - it's just not there, I've checked & double checked that the directory structure is intact, I've tried it on a test site & it's fine, Help I'm stumped?

Tried updating the system module but no luck.
And tried uploading another module but that doesn't appear either

Well could you tell us a little more info please...

What version of xoops?
Exactly Which Modules?
What Sort of admin tools do you have installed?

***For example if you install blocksadmin, you can access all your modules and blocks in one step. conveniently located along the left side of your admin.php***

Also you will find alot of support here on the XOOPS website. This is a common problem and is addressed herehttps://xoops.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=276

Hi,

I'd already done that. The system module was visible anyway. I'm using XOOPS 2.092
The module I'm trying to install is imenu, I also have a test site set up (on another server) with the same modules installed but have not had any problems there. Yesterday suddenly any new module I upload doesn't appear on the modules admin page, there is no error message, nothing saying "module not found", all the other modules are there, but any new modules that I upload just don't appear, I've tried deleting the module and re uploading it, I've tried updating cache through admin-preferences and clearing my bowser history, cache and tried another browser etc but no luck.

Installed Modules:
system
xoops polls
xc gallery
event calendar
backpack
small ads
XP-Weather
citas Random Quotes
xoops headlines
xpbb - phb message board
articles
Version 0.17
member list (xoops)
marquee
avatar maker
Web Links (xoops)
recette
XT Temas
book lists
mad games
Survey V0.6
content

Someone else just took a look at it for me and came up with this:

"I've investigated your issue and found out the cause of the problem, though I couldn't fix it. When I enabled the debug mode in the configuration files, the following pop up at the page where modules are supposed to be installed from:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: phpdefine() in /home/mysite/public_html/modules/iMenu/language/english/modinfo.php on line 1
Notice [PHP]: Use of undefined constant _Q4X_MOD_DESC - assumed '_Q4X_MOD_DESC' in file modules/quote4xoops/xoops_version.php line 4

It seems there's a problem with the particular module, which is blocking new modules to be installed. I've tried to fix the problem, but couldn't do much, I'm sorry. Your best bet will be to contact the author of the module for more detailed support."

Thing is, I uninstalled quote4xoops months ago in favour of the citas quote module and have added modules since with no problems and imenu isn't installed as it won't show up in the modules section, - don't know if this is an issue - but the XOOPS installation was moved from a different directory to my home directory a little while ago but modules have been installed since then without problems.
Anyone know how to fix this? Can anyone help?

Problem fixed - after reading another 72 pages I found this threadhttps://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=26852&viewmode=flat&order=ASC&start=10&

simply delete imenu and fixed, shame really because I really wanted to use it.

Hello

I have "search" for x-pbb and this thread pop out...

I have a problem with installing xpb and IPB forum on XOOPS 2.3.3

I’ve done all by the tutorial,

Quote:

1. Copy overwritten all of content inside "upload" folder (include subs directories) into
"http://yoursite.com/Xoops_root_dir/".
Trees folders discrible:
--- Inside Upload folder --- --- XOOPS_Root_Directory ---
--|--- ...
--|--- class
--|--- include
--|--- kernel
--|--- modules
--|--- uploads --|--- ...
--|--- class
--|--- include
--|--- kernel
--|--- modules
--|--- uploads
My package Your site

and this is the reasoult:
Quote:

Notice: Instance of /home/luceck22/domains/naproxenum.ayz.pl/public_html/class/logger.php file is deprecated, check 'XoopsLogger' in class/logger/xoopslogger.php in /home/luceck22/domains/xxx.ayz.pl/public_html/class/logger.php on line 16

Fatal error: Call to undefined method XoopsErrorHandler::getInstance() in /home/luceck22/domains/xxx.ayz.pl/public_html/include/common.php on line 53

please help
further thanks
