Trying to do a new install and I get

XOOPS path check: Script is not inside XOOPS_ROOT_PATH and cannot run.

As the install hasn't been completed yet there is no rootpath yet in mainfile.php so I am a bit puzzled.

Thanks

mmmm the wizards working now BUT..

I am now having trouble migrating the site that I created locally onto my hosting co.

Here's what I have been doing:

- put a fresh install of XOOPS on hosting co
- upload and import locally created sql db

When I go to my url I just get a blank screen

What is the correct procedure for transfering XOOPS to a new domain?

thanks

Re: Installation wizard not starting

If your site is already locally created, you do not need to run the installation wizard. Upload the files. Check that the cache, template_c and uploads folders are chmod 777. Edit mainfile.php to reflect changes to your paths. Import your local existing database to the database on the server. Also make sure database information in mainfile.php is correct. All should work after these steps.

See this Faq Page for more information.
