I am trying to put a video on my site. For some reason i can't get the video coding to work with the XOOPS prog. does anyone know a good code that works so i can put a video in a custom block on my sites?

It depends for what type of video (WMV, MOV?)
There are XOOPS Modules that can do that and have blocks with the video.

i was trying to put on *.avi files or *.svcd or *.vcd or *mpeg2 or somthing to that effect... is the mods in the download area? or are they ones people have just hard coded?

and give a try to the excellent (still in beta stage, however) Marcan?s SmartMedia & solo?s MyMedia.


The one that has a huge mime types ready codes is Dbaser.

Give it a try

PS.: *.svcd or *.vcd > u must take care with those formats since sometimes they are rendered as a ".dat" file even so try to play them through windows media player

I have been looking for the video code now for a while and the link that was supplied above takes you to the page where u can download the player.

But once i have downloaded it come up with loads of files with the dreamweaver logo on it but i just dont know which ones to use !

Can someone help me plse
