Good day to all! I'm new on using CMS, specially XOOPS. I successfully installed XOOPS on my local machine and running smoothly. I've successfully installed a new theme (4whitebusiness theme) and installed some modules (news, headlines, contacts).

My question is:

1.) How to make the news module will show up as default? (i mean, when you browse into my site, the news page will be the default page)

2.) How come I properly installed these modules and I can't see a thing on my site?

3.) I try to change the caption "Your slogan here" into "my own slogan". How come when I try to load it up, I can't see the whole page? and the same when I try to change the logo. (I used Macromedia Dreamweaver to edit the file theme.html...I'm I doing wrong?)

This is a TOTAL newbie question. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

First of all; welcome to Xoops!
1 and 2- After installing a module you will have to set the module accessible to anonymous users by going to groups. Then go to blocks and set the corresponding block visible.
3- you will have to erase all files from templates_c
Try browsing through XOOPS FAQ, you will find many usefull tutorials and tips.

thnx guys...especially kaotik. it just worked! i have another question for u guys...I try to configure the news module. When you try to click Topics Manager and Post/Edit Articles, nothing will show up - nothing happens -. Any setting I must changed or something? Thanks for you help again.

I would like to add again, when I try to configure the Polls and Partners module, nothing will happen same thing in the news module that I mentioned prior to this post. Hope to hear again from u guys. Thanks a lot.
