Firstly, I was running XOOPS nicely, I had the newbb forums loaded, thats the fancy version, and one day, I decided to install the Invision Power Board module, big mistake. I was locked out of my own site... so, deleted the whole thing, started again, with the NEWEST version of xoops.

This time, I retained the BB that comes with the install because the users wanted speed over anything a fancy a forum could offer.

Today, I added a whole heap of forums... then, I tried to re-order them... what the...

if I make one forum go UP, it goes down, or doesnt move at all (this is when I go to the Forum to check on it)

The forum re-order list bears no relation to the actual order. Its like some massive rubicks cube, make one forum go up or down and you never know where its going to end up.

So, I got it close to what I wanted. BUT... each time I go to the Forums now, the order changes...

Is this a bug?

Does anyone have a fix?

Most would agree that the forums are the life blood of any site, and I have a feeling that this is going to harm my repeat visits from users, they are sure to find it annoying and not bother logging on anymore.

I didn't think that newbb version 1 had any mechanism for changing the order of the forums. How are you attempting to change it?
