Problems with DMS

I installed DMS ver 0.98 on XOOPS 2.0.10. I can upload files without problems, they show up in DMS but when I download them I get a SYSTEM.dat file. I'm stumped and would appreciate any help.

I need to expand on problem. The file thats downloaded isn't always SYSTEM.dat, however the name is changed or shortened and the extension is gone. It's downloaded as a "file". If I right click and force it to open with the correct application it will open fine. Thanks again!
