Hello.
I have installed XOOPS 2.0.10 Stable then I wanted to update NewBB 1 to NewBB 2. I replaced the old /modules/newbb folder with the newer one, then I ran the update script and everything went fine, until I tried to create a category: I got the message "Database error" and the category cannot be created.

Where am I wrong?
What is the best way to update NewBB to version 2?

The best way is just like you said. Upload the folder to the modules directory, run the upgrade script, then (and I did not see this in your post) update the newbb module in the module administration page. The last you need to do for it to work properly.

Thanks, I found the cause: I was updating the module from the Admin Panel without running the real update script ;)
