Unable to search custom blocks

Not sure what happened to my first post on this, subject, but will try again.

I'm new to Xoops, so it's likely that I'm doing something wrong, but why is it that I can find a search key if it's in a module, but not if it's in a stand-alone custom block?

Every attempt to use the search facility comes up empty when a term appears in a custom block, but all modules that include the term are listed.

A cursory check of search.php seems to confirm that it's module-oriented. Is there any way to include custom blocks in the search?

Not that I know of. Like you've seen, the search function is module-oriented.

The best I can suggest is that you post a core feature request to have the search feature extended to custom blocks (see the core development link on the left). I believe the blocks system will be looked at for the next version of XOOPS, so now might be a good time for this request.

Hi!

I'm now around here, and just now became aware of your reply. Thank you for taking the time to respond!
