Smarty templates debug???

Found this in the FAQ:

If you set Debug mode to "Smarty Templates Debug" in the general settings, you'll get a popup window displaying the currently available variables.

Well turned this on on my site but no popup at all. Tried this with XOOPS 2.0.9.3 in both Firefox and IE6. Both set to not blocking popup windows. Anyone any clue?

I've only run into that problems once before, and the reason was that my browser/proxy/firewall was blocking popup windows or Javascript.

A workaround is to display the debug information inline by inserting this in a template:

<{debug output='html'}>
