hi xoopsters, just wonder if I have missed something.

Just installed XOOPS (version 2.0.9.2) via "fantastico" on a friends cPanel.

It installs it on "www.domainname.co.uk/here"

so I have gone into mainfile.php and changed the URL bit to 'http://www.domainname.co.uk

so I go to browser type in domain name the page cannot be displayed (error 404???)

when I go to the original "www.domainname.co.uk/here" i get a butchered XOOPS start page - gif logos are missing - but the log in box is there

so I type in the user name and password and get http://www.domainname.co.uk/user.php - page cannot be found

Have I done something incorrectly - or missed a step out - but I can't seem to get the XOOPS log in panel on the main domain

can anyone help or direct me to apost that deals with this

Many thanks xoopsters

Jake

Re: Doh! Main issues

First check and make sure that your "uploads" "template_c" and "cache" folders are chmod 777. Double check mainfile.php physical path.

HTH.

HTH,

checked folders as suggested - all chmod 777

the physical path seems right

define('XOOPS_ROOT_PATH', '/home/colette7/public_html/health');

and health is the directory the XOOPS files were installed by fantastico - tried refreshing the domain a few times

but to no avail

the domaon is http://www.thewellnesswoman.co.uk

what else can you suggest

thanks

Jake
