Hi Folks,

I'm likely to be working soon on putting up a site that can expect a short, very high volume spike at a pre-known time.

To cope with this I am looking for a CMS from which I can generate a static site, to which I can switch temporarily. I've seen that someone has done this using mambo and HTTrack, and I'm wondering if it is possible to do it with Xoops? Would there be technical reasons for a XOOPS site not being able to be processed by HTTrack, for example?

Or maybe there's some other way not using HTTrack?

(Obviously I am fine with giving up dynamic content in order to cope with the volume spike).

Would anyone be willing to test HTTrack against a standard XOOPS site? I would be very grateful and call down a blessing upon your goats, slaves and many wives (...um, and husbands if you are female), and may you have a thousand children, preferably all boys.

Sincerely,

Greg
