Unable to add links/news/anything

Alright, I've got XOOPS installed but i'm unable to add content. When I get a module installed, I can go to the configuration screen and change preferences, etc, but when I click on any of the links that are for adding downloads or topics, etc, nothing happens. I just stay on the same page.

Anyone had this problem before. I'm getting really frustrated.

One suggestion is double check the readme's or install.txt files included with the modules affected and see if any folder permissions need to be set. Some modules have folders that need to be chmod 777 for the module to work correctly.
