Is there anything i can do to make the emails section work???

Is there anything i can do to make the emaiks section work??? Im not sure why this problem is happening but it wont send mails - even though it sais it has. I have been told that this is a bug and has never worked in XOOPS - but when i check other sites using XOOPS it works fine so must be some reason why its not working on mine.

If anyone has any ideas and ways of getting it working - i would be more than greatful

Well my settings include:

1. The email address I want displayed.
2. The from name I want displayed.
3. From User (my username)
4. Mail delivery method (PHP mail())
5. Path to sendmail (/usr/sbin/sendmail)
check the above with your host.
6. SMTP auth username (My cPanel username)
7. SMTP auth password (My cPanel password)

And thats it. If you are still having trouble ask your host what options are available for your server. Some servers are set up differently than others.

it seems like a few of us are having the same problem at the same time. My email always worked until recently. I really would love to know what the deal is.

yeah, mine has been working before - worked a dream and was very fast, so this is why i am so confused to as why it has stopped and just does nothing now.

I dont think its anything to do with my server as it worked in the past.

Could it possibly be with a file that to be chmodd777 ??
