i am using the news modules. I get a you dont have permission to access message - and i cant figure out how to change it

i also have a problem with a contact form. after you press submit - the page goes blank - but the message feature works

I had problems with permissions also are you having trouble with all the modules or just news? have you enabled the folders to the proper permissions? I missed out on some of the litrature and it says to make sure that three folders are enabled for write access. when installing. and if your upgrading then verify that you have enabled the write permissions for the modules you updated. my guess.
But I am only one step ahead of you so maybe some of the old timers can pass along some better wisdom. of course there gonna want the version/type of your webserver and ver of PHP and a little more about the how your permissions for you website are setup..
