Hi there,

I'm new to XOOPS so hopefully I don't sound like too much of an idiot, but I'm having a weird issue.

I managed to install and configure XOOPS okay, but as I was editing I noticed that my menus aren't consistent. Ie, the contents of the menu are slightly different on each module. Worse than that, I noticed in the menu some of the elements don't show up unless I'm in admin. It looks fine when I am logged in to my site.

Here's what the menu on my website looks like right now (this is what you'll see)

HOME
NEWS
SUBMIT NEWS
ARCHIVE
THE STARVING ANIMATOR'S COOKBOOK.

What the menu SHOULD look like is this:

HOME
FORUM
NEWS
SUBMIT NEWS (it would be nice to get rid of this but I don't know how)
ARCHIVE
WEB LINKS
THE STARVING ANIMATOR'S COOKBOOK
DOWNLOADS
GALLERY
JOURNAL

Here's the weird part. If I'm logged in, the proper menu I can see, but I CAN'T see it if I'm not logged in. This is a navigation system I want to be completely universal to everyone, and on every page.

Could anyone please tell me how to do this? I've gone through to set things up but nothing I am trying seems to work all that well.

Thanks very much! :)

Cheers
Cory

Sounds like you haven't set access right for those modules...

(Sys Admin -> Groups)

I think I've fixed it. Does the new stuff appear to you guys?

Thanks for the help! I had no idea I'd get help so fast. You guys rock. Even in the dorm not too many people awake at 2:06AM on a Wednesday evening (or is that Thursday morning :P)

Thanks!!
Cory

Anonymous still can see submit news. My colleague must not have taken the whole post into consideration. Use multimune for a no compromise solution.

@wardick: If anonomous is set to submit, it will appear, if not it will not appear, only the "News" link will appear!
