Re-Order Category problem

I've been reading and reading and cant believe I'm the only one with this problem. I can move categories around but when I go to check it its all out of order, seems to be limited to the 1-4 range anyone else? Should I update to something newer?

Are you speaking of weight management? If so elaborate more on how they are out of order.

In the admin/forum/re-order Category you only have the option of moving your categories up or down. the first four categories are messed up. I get them set how I would like to see them listed, I go to check from outside the admin panel and the 2nd category will show about the first. screwy...

Do you have any caching enabled? You may need to clear the cache before seeing the change.

No its not enabled thru the site. and I can get it to move and show it but not were I want them to go.

Ok I cant move anything up past the 3rd category

Sorry to ask, but trying to figure this out.

Please list the catagories, and the weight that you want.

Then list how they show up, or if there is a link that I can see.

Also what version of forum are you using?

Its whatever comes with the latest ver of XOOPS says ver1?

OK, I would have to register to access, but thats OK.

A suggestion would be to upgrade to Newbb2 located Here.

It has a lot mor functionality and much better admin features.
If you currently have content in your forums, back up the database and run the upgrade script. If not just uninstall the newbb1 and install newbb2.

This is the forum used here also. Also see this Faq Page to enable the dropdown menus.

As for the partners module I use SmartPartner and it has settings for max dimensions of submitted images. I believe mine is set to 150x150 so not to distort my page.

Where might you find smart partner?

Also would you personally recommend the patch ver or full? I know sometime patches dont work as well but I think the guy populating the forum is gonna just fall out of his chair if he has to do it again..lol

It, like I said, if you have post that you want to save upgrade. If not do a full install and start clean. I have done a couple of upgrades with Newbb2 with no trouble. Make sure that you read the documentation and readme's.
