<{$xoops_footer}> moving by itself?

I did a theme for a customer. On my test site the footer is where it should be, at the bottom. But on my client's site, it's just underneath the header, above the content. Both sites are the same version of Xoops. I viewed the source of my client's site, and it still shows <{$xoops_footer}> at the bottom, just above the tag.

Any ideas why it's moving?

um... this is probably a stupid suggestion but are you sure you are using the same css files on both sites? Sounds like there's a float somewhere not being cleared, or that it's being absolutely positioned perhaps...

i would look for a div or td that is open or just a closing tag without an opening tag.

No, it's the same theme on both sites.
I'll run it through the HTML validator anyhow, just in case.
