Moderators cannot moderate.. HELP!

Hi folks..

I'm new to Xoops, and at my wit's end with this problem:

I created a new user group called "Moderators". I edited the group, and gave it all Module Admin Rights, plus all Module Access Rights, plus all Block Access Rights.

The problem? None of the users in that group can moderate anything. Not Forum NewBB, not polls, not SmartFAQ, not Web Links, nothing.

Anyone have any ideas?!

Give them at least one System Admin permission (I usually use "Find users" as that has the smallest risk for abuse)

It is a shortcoming in the current system, unfortunately.

I tried that. In fact, I got desperate and gave them ALL System Admin Rights. Didn't seem to change anything.

do you have also this problem?
maybe if they logout one time and login again this problem solved for them.

(sigh)

Yep, that was it.

I guess I assumed that the permissions were read dynamically. I guess I was wrong!
