Firefox not showing text color...

My site looks fine in IE 6 and Firefox except that in Forefox, the text color is showing up as black: I've edited the StyleNN.css to reflect the color change but it still doesn't work. Can someone inform me as to why this is happening and how I can fix it?

A link often helps Cavan, so we can see it and look at the code.

It's up to you, if you dont want bots to crawl it off this site, just delete the url later or ammend your meta-tags. noindex-nofollow

I have looked at your site in msie6 and firefox1.0 All the text is dark green in both browsers. I can only get to the login page and the top page, is that sufficient?

The only black text is the form buttons (same in both)

Thats what I see from here

Thank you for having a look. The text showing in black in the login box is fine---I left that that way.

Oddly enough, I just checked the site in Firefox again and the changed color in my StyleNN.css is now showing as it should. Wonder if this was a cache/cookie issue on my pc or something with my host's servers...whichever, it seems to be fine now.

Your welcome My rule of thumb is this, whenever I make any changes to my theme or templates I always,

* delete all files in template_c folder
* Clear my browser's cache

Seems to cure a bag full of display problems !

BTW I like your site theme.

Since you mentioned it and I'm unfamiliar with the templates_c directory, what is stored there, why is it necessary to have, and why is it beneficial to delete the folder contents (and how often)?

Thank you for the compliment (the theme is a modified form of the "phpbbstyle" theme)...It's a shame you can't see the rest of it right now---I'm a newbie to XOOPS but I'm happy with the way the site's turning out.

Templates_c holds generated cached templates from smarty. deleting forces fresh versions to be generated including your changed content.

The folder is found in the root of your XOOPS file distribution and should be permissioned for 0777

How often, frequently after template changes, theme changes, updates etc. Not so often on a stable site.

Cant really give you times on this one.

Do a search here for more info

Re site... well, we'll just have to wait till your ready for a public launch. Post here in the news, we all love to have a peek around other people's site
