Since I just finally decieded to use XOOPS on Tuesday, that puts me in the newb section. Of all the CMS/Portals I reviewed, XOOPS is turning out to be a very good choice and I'm quite happy with things so far. Especially all the support and documentation.
Two questions:
1) How secure is the user login and pw for a XOOPS site?
Reason being, I am going to make all the user accounts for all my visitors manually myself. Each of my visitors has their own seperate website with a user/pass login, which I also have (I provide a service for thier websites). I'm trying to decide if I can use their same login for my XOOPS site or if I should make up seperate logins for each person for security reasons.

2) How does XOOPS compare to phpBB in terms of stability and backup/restore-ability?
One of my reasons for moving to a CMS system is due to a horrific run-in while moving a phpBB that was over a year old. Moving it went fine, but 90% of my db archives were corrupted and I could not restore the board. The only archives that weren't corrupt were way back in the first couple months of running it. I was a bit upset over that. What I believe caused the db to be corrupt was undesirable charactors in some/many of the posts. Probably repairable, but I don't exactly have months to comb through the archive and keep trying to restore it. Anyway, I'm just looking for an opinion on long term stability and recoverability.

TIA
-Scott
