I have a few questions about theming with XOOPS, and this seems like the proper forum to post in. If I'm wrong, just shoot me. Not really though.

I downloaded 7dana-clean from the Themes Library and like it alot. I really only needed it for the layout (the PHP theming confuses me) and was able to quickly run through and change all images, colors, etc. to suit the mood I was going for.
Problem is, the theme adds two things that I didn't have on my old theme: additional copyright text (E.G. the theme shows "Copyright © 2003 by your company" right next to where XOOPS put the copyright text") and at the top it says "Register now on mysite.com!" instead of showing my site's name.

I attempted to fix these problems by going into the Theme.html file, however it didn't do anything. Where do I go to change this? (if you need to see what I am talking about, go to http://comitar.gm6.info/movmak)

Also, my users are getting confused by the confirming information page that shows up during the sign up process. Is there a way that I can edit this so it will be more clear?

I know its alot, but I really need help!

Thanks,

Make sure you have the 'Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory?' option set to yes in general prefenrences when editing your theme file. Otherwise changes will not show up. What exactly are your users finding confusing about the confirmation page?

Well, after you enter all your details the page shows up that looks like

"Username: blasgl
email: blasdg

FINISH"

Some think that is saying that they can't join because of one reason or another, when it simply verifying the information.

EDIT: Sweet, the Update html thing worked. I guess I misread it, I thought it meant it would overwrite them with the default XOOPS theme.html file.

Perhaps some more descriptive/appropriate wording might be benefictial for both your problems. That would require a bit of a hack job, but shouldn't be too difficult.

Do you or anybody else know how to do this? I have no experience in PHP, and have looked around through all of the files and found nothing...

When you do any changes on the theme.html file, you must delete it's cache copy from the template_c folder for the changes to show.

To change the text in the registration process, you will most likely find the text in the languages files, sorry I don't know which off the top of my head.

Cheers
