I'm having a bit of trouble installing Debaser .92

I'm am very much an amateur with this sort of thing so please be patient with me.

I uploaded the unzipped archive to modules/debaser/

When I go into the admin menu > modules there is an error "Module File for Not Found!" repeated several times. Although there is a new line entry there's no picture/icon, name, or version number. Clicking on the install button results in:

Unable to install . Error(s):
Module already exists.

Can anybody help me out? What am I doing wrong?

-------------
Okay investigating the probelm myself a bit I found what may be a clue. The path to the broken image is

Lookes like something is adding an extra slash. Where would that be coming from?

When you unzip a folder it usually adds an extra directory.
And sometimes developers add extra directories to the module.

What you want to do is uzip the file on your machine. Open the created folder and drill down until you see several folders on one page like: admin, templates, blocks, version.php. Then go up one level, this is what you want to upload to the server.

HTH.

I also came accross this problem. I found when I had unziped it and transfered to the modules dir it had changed the permissions to forbidden. One I had reset the permissions all was sweet.

Hmm, I think i understand what you're saying but I think it's correct already. The path to the various files mentinoed is

/home/alex/websites/theblackroses-ls.com/modules/debaser/

The end folder, debaser, contains the aforementioned files and much more. That is correct, no? Any other idea?

That is correct. It is a common error for "Module not Found" if you upload the entire directory tree created by the zip.

You did it right.
