Is this possible other than the obvious PM way of notifying others your online... IE

User1 wants to speak to User2 on the Shoutbox/Chatroom. But User2 has not noticed that User1 is online. Can there be a way, perhaps in the member profile section of notifying by playing a small mid file on User2's computer?

Another, perhaps simply way would be if when you recieved a PM from anyone, you get playing a SMS jingle or something? Is this easy to implement? I'm not too sure.

I have a clan site running and most of the users enjoy a chat, this is why I ask.
