I'm new to XOOPS, having previously used PHP-Nuke in all it's hackable versions (!) and am really impressed and pleased with the way in which XOOPS seems to work.

One little request I have though, is that to modify a Download requires the Download ID - I have over 300 downloads to tag & link on my site...remembering which one is which by numerical download ID is somewhat of a nightmare! I have serached high and low on the forums and across the XOOPS site without luck. There was a hack for this in PHP-Nuke, which required one line altering somewhere. As I'm not the most PHP-savvy webmaster, I'd really appreciate any help with this request.

Actually, I was just updating some download information with MyDownloads a few days ago and this was one thing that I saw that could really use a bit of spit an polish. I also think that the "modify" link should be only granted to selected groups as otherwise leechers can potentially just go to submit a modification, get the direct URL for the download and then link to it directly on there site, bypassing the leech protection and steeling your bandwidth. The default templates with MyDownloads aren't real pretty either, and could do with some attention. Maybe a project for the new year .

Yeah I had noticed that too, but I am getting by just hovering over the link to find the ID for the download (or web link, which runs on the same modify principle).

I'll see if I can locate the original PHP-Nuke hack and post it here if I can modify it so that it works...I hate searching NukeCops because it always returns about 30,000 pages of forum to wade through!!!
