Hey all,

First of all. XOOPS IS GREAT.
(I also tried other news/forum systems.)

A thing I can't find is how to make in the forum the flat system as default. So you don't have to push the button flat every time. I found it for comments in the admin options but not for the forum. Thanks.

what is your newbb version?
in newbb2 go to configuration and change the default view to "flat"
also for newbb1 and comments view go to admin -> preferences -> genneral setting

hey irmtfan,

I'm using XOOPS 2.0.7.
I can change the option "Default Comment Display Mode" but that only effects on my comments not in the forum. It's found in Preferences Main »» General Settings.

In my forum configuration I only have 2 options Enable Notification and Enable Specific Events.

i ask your newbb version not XOOPS version.
any way in my last post you can see it for newbb1 and 2
also be sure that in your profile you must choose "flat view mode" for yourself

Hum... I also have the same problem.
And I've done what you said, but can't I change the things so that the default option every time a user is created if flat??
