I am a newbie, How do I install a new language.
I have downloaded the language file where and how do I install it?

Same problem here... I have XOOPS already running in English but now I want to add the Spanish language choice (I have some users that want Spanish and some that want English). I downloaded the xoops_v2_spanish core language file, unziped it, but don't know where to put it in the server.

There is a docs folder in the language package that explains what to do. Basicaly you take everything under the html folder and copy it to your XOOPS root folder (you don't need to copy the install folder unless you haven't done the main XOOPS install yet). For the most part this simply adds a new language folder to various locations and they appear next to the english.

One decision you'll need to make is if you want to overwrite some of the image files. If you want to keep the primary language English then don't overwrite, if you want to make a new default language then overwrite.
