Well, my personal preference is with WF-Section 2.0.7 to be downloaded at
WF-Projects.
Though what it comes down to, is personal preference. Each module uses a different template design, each module implements different workflow patterns (though unintended as I might point out, speculatively).
The best advice I can give, as I have done previously, is to download the different modules, that seem closest to your needs (e.g. wf-section, article0.17{never liked that mod}, edito, smart section), and give them a thorough test drive on a test installation. This way you will discover, if it works the way you like.
