I am looking at XOOPS as a replacement for my current website consisting of 1,000 pages of html and want to know if XOOPS will work for me.
I run our families genealogy website that consist of over 250 original documents that have been scanned and converted to html pages. Documents like birth certificates, reunion announcements, obituaries, etc...
I am leery of using XOOPS because I need to retain these documents in a format (not pdf or jpg) that will preserve them in their original layout.
Also I need the documents to be easily accessible to the user. example: user logs in and selects "reunion announcements" from the menu and is given a list of all the years that are available with a description of each.
visitors need to be able to navigate from the "reunion announcements" page to 1940 reunion announcement, then to 1941 announcements without having to go back to the "reunion announcements" page. (easy navigation is key)
This site will never stop growing. Last year over 300 pages (160 documents) were added to the site and that will hopefully continue as new information is found.
Will XOOPS work for me?
Thanks for you suggestions.
