This is a fresh install of XOOPS 2.0.7.3. Having problems.
I have not modified any code other then to turn on the debug.
The user in mainfile.php has full access to the database (minus GRANT).
I can use the account through MySQL to connect to the database via command line.

I receive the error below when I go to any of the items on the admin control panel:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in \webroot\xoops2\kernel\user.php on line 212

I have looked through the forums with no luck. I have also done a search for this.
I seem to be the only one so far (hopefully the only) with the error on this line.

all apps on the same machine
IIS 6 running on win 2k3
xoops 2.0.7.3
PHP 4.3.8
mysql 4.0.21

Hi Joey,

Haven't seen this problem in 18 months of using XOOPS . Have you tried any other versions of Xoops? Also, you may want to look through your php.ini file as something might be misconfigured there. Do you have PHP setup to run in ISAPI or CGI mode?

I am running it in ISAPI mode using the phpisapi.dll in IIS to run the PHP pages. I did try to get 2.0.6 up and running, but had some problems with mysql. Then it got put on the back burner. I am now trying to get it up and running with a fresh insall of all the components.

Had similar problems but solved it by using the FASTCGI module.
