I'm on a quest. No, not to dream the impossible dream; that's T-bone's quest. My quest is to find The Best PHP-based, Open-source portal system. So far, XOOPS looks VERY good. But, I have a question concerning phpBB.

Right now, I have a phpBB forum set up with an intimate number of users. (Less than 50). I would like to know if:

-My messages, forums, etc., can be ported over to XOOPS;

-If not, at least my User's Accounts & Passwords could easily be ported over to XOOPS;

-If not, I could do some mySQL or phpMyAdmin magic and "Copy" those usernames / Passwords to a XOOPS framework.

And a bonus question: Is there a mod currently available to allow XOOPS users to create their own "area" ( calendar, news, photo album, etc.)? This is perhaps more important than the phpBB issue.
