Hello,

Any of you ever try to set the start page to none and then you put up block like a site introduction or something?

My Results:

Block Center Center > OK
Block Center Left > OK
Block Center Right > OK
Block Center Center > Weird

The Block Center Center know as the Content part. It just appear nothing but graphics for my theme. Why those is appear there even there's nothing in the content. No text, no nothing...

Or else I have to edit and replace by something to fill it up.

All I see it's a bar from my graphic.

You can't see it now in my site because I set it back to start page "news".

Anyone explain...

P.S.:I wish I get feedbacks, since I helped many people...

Re: "none" page

For myself I much prefer "none" for the start page. I either put blocks in there or more often I create a custom block or whatever it is I need there. There is nothing magical or different between any of the positions, it is only a db value. How it looks is up to your theme and CSS.

So yes, you should be able to put any content on the start page within the limits of XOOPS and your own creativity. BTW, my first page content is center-center, no problems. Check your theme and of course the content you are trying to present there.

I mean the Content.

There's:

Center-Center block
Center-Left block
Center-Right block
Content > Normal ( no really a block)

I mean Content not center center. You can see there's a single bar in the middle of the page.

visit here: www.maxmzone.com

I will enable it to show you.

in other words, you've made a custom block, but the content isn't showing?
What is the content exactly? HTML? PHP script?

Are you sure? If you view the source, the following code appears between the "recent Topics" and "Latest News" blocks:

Quote:

<div style="text-align:right; padding: 5px;">
<a href="http://www.maxmzone.com/modules/newbb/"> Visit Forums</a>
</div></div>
<div><img align="bottom" src="http://www.maxmzone.com/themes/TBird/images/lbox_bot.gif"></div> <!-- End center-center blocks loop --> </td>
</tr>
</table> <table background="http://www.maxmzone.com/themes/TBird/images/lbox_bg.jpg" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
<!--DWLayoutTable-->
<tr>
<td width="495" height="18" valign="top">
<div><img align="top" src="http://www.maxmzone.com/themes/TBird/images/lbox_top.gif" /></div>
<div id="content"></div>
<div><img align="bottom" src="http://www.maxmzone.com/themes/TBird/images/lbox_bot.gif" /></div> </td>
</tr>
</table>
<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">

Maybe you have a block activated there somewhere?

<div id="content"></div>

I think I know, That part doesn't have the Auto detection of block enabled or not.

The:

<if .... etc.
</if>

You know, so it's become statis block on the theme.html.

I will have it checked later
