Hi!

I have recently set up my own XOOPS installation on my computer at home. The installation went very smooth (excellent installation wizard!) and I have just began to learn how it all hangs together.
But, I have problems with configuring my mail in "System-Admin/Preferences/Mail-Setup".
I have tried some combinations but I can't get it to work. I am no expert at SMTP or mail protocols and I am really not sure how it is supposed to work. Should I use my ISPs SMTP server? Or can I use sendmail (I am unsure if my ISP has blocked that service)?
I can get it partially to work if I use SMTP (noauth) but with my authcredentials set. But only to my own mailaccount at my ISP, not to any other email adress.

Anyone

Thanks
/Stefan

Nevermind...

I got it to work finally.
Used SMTP and my ISP's SMTPserver.
But still having problems with sending to a hotmail-account of mine... Strange.
Thanx anyway

/Stefan
