Hi all!

I'd like to set up a site w/xoops that is partially public and partially private. I've looked into the permission functions and such but they do not address THIS situation (below).

I'd like to move some of the modules / files into a subfolder that is protected by .htaccess AND forces SSL. I know how to do this, but what I'm wondering is the following:
1) Is there a core module that needs to be modified to use the new paths to this protected folder?
2) Is the a hack out there that abstracts the paths so that when the XOOPS framework calls each module, it accesses this centralized path repository to find the non-standard path? There is something like this setup in OScommerce.

I noticed in other forum postings that direct calls are possible to some files, photo's, etc. (search on htaccess). While this may sound extreme, I'd simply like to keep personal photo's, project schedules & budgets, etc. private. I'm sure others would be interested too.

Thanks in advance for your help!
