Hello,

I have been trying to edit the site info block without much luck (I am still learning) but while I have been careful to back up the original I appear to have accidentally overwritten it - . Is there any way of restoring the original block?

I'm feeling exceptionally dumb so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
N

If you edited it through the Templates Administration in the Admin Area, you should have the default template intact. You can just copy-paste it to your clone.

You can also check the html files in the modules/system/templates/blocks folder. Those files contain the original HTML for the templates.

But, if that was what you have overwritten, you can just extract that specific file from the zipped download and copy-paste the contents into your template.

Thanks for this - I have found the unaltered file and cut and pasted over my 'edits' in the edit template option but unfortunately there isn't a submit or save button so while the preview looks good I can't make it permanent.

Any thoughts?

I had the same problem just yesterday and here is what someone recommended which fixed my problem.

You have your default template to the XOOPS default which is not editable.

You need to go to admin>sysadmin>template. clone the default template and name it "whatever you want" (without the quotes). Then, go to admin>sysadmin>preferences>general and set your default template to your "whatever you want" template. click submit. then, log out, log back in. then go to the template. there should be a "Submit" button next to the "View" button.

Hope this helps.
