I just dumped a bunch of users into my db. I did the following:

INSERT INTO obsps2_users ( uid, name, uname, email, url, user_avatar, user_regdate, user_icq, user_from, user_sig, user_viewemail, actkey, user_aim, user_yim, user_msnm, pass, posts, attachsig, rank, level, theme, timezone_offset, last_login, umode, uorder, notify_method, notify_mode, user_occ, bio, user_intrest, user_mailok ) VALUES ( '', 'Brian Abel', 'babel', '', 'http://www.etonacademy.org', 'blank.gif', '1092687397', '', '', '', '0', '', '', '', '', '999999', '0', '0', '0', '1', '', '-5.0', '0', 'nest', '0', '1', '0', '', '', '', '1' ); UPDATE obsps2_users SET pass = MD5('999999') WHERE uname = 'babel';


I did this for 190 users. They can log in, but are not in groups. I went to the groups admin to add them to groups, but it now only gives me one empty name selector box with only a delete option.

Any help is appreciated.

I have since dumped the groups_users_link information int the DB. This gets their group right set, but the admin problem remains. I would really not manage my site from the MySQL command line.

After no response I thought I would clairify the situation with a screen shot.

No way to add users to the group!! I turned MySQL debug on, and no errors....

I see now that there is a NEW WAY to add users. That is fine. But where was I told this? I upgraded, read the fix list, and did not see this info anywhere.

If I missed it, then I am sorry for the rant.
