Why would the prefrences on admin repeat its self??

Can someone help i dont know what i have ended up doing

over the last couple of days i have been messing with hacks and new modules

some how along the process i have end up that now the prefrences copy them selfs out twice in the admin section on all modules

can anybody tell me why this might happen and how i can fix it please

Thx 4 the help everyone

Fixed it just recopied the whole of the new XOOPS core over the old one except for the main.php

then pressed update on the effected modules and the systems admin and it is fixed
