Logon redirection?

Any ideas why sometimes when I log in to my XOOPS site it takes me to my user profile and other times back to the page I was at when I logged in? I would like to always go back to where I was at.

Xoops keeps track the page url (re-direct) when you first attempt to log in.

But if you were to log into the system in the second try or the third try, your re-direct page would always be user.php (user profile), since XOOPS had lost your previous re-direct url (first try).

You could change the "default" user profile page by modifying the user.php file, but I don't think you could recover the first try url without major hacks (I could be wrong on this)

for me redirect takes me to user profile when my first login is incorrect, otherwise it always returns me to home, no matter what module i am in. i know this may be a simple edit, but i have never pursued it.

edit: in reference to my own sites.

Make sure your login block have the xoops_redirect in it.



This happened to me when I used someone else's template. It did not have the re-redirect in the login block.
