Xoops keeps track the page url (re-direct) when you first attempt to log in.
But if you were to log into the system in the second try or the third try, your re-direct page would always be user.php (user profile), since XOOPS had lost your previous re-direct url (first try).
You could change the "default" user profile page by modifying the user.php file, but I don't think you could recover the first try url without major hacks (I could be wrong on this)
