I do.... it works well, but it's been over 12 months since I installed it. It's no good for offering webmail to your users though, unless you can already offer them an email account @yourdomain.com

Yes that is exactly what I am trying to do, I have 10,000 emails i can use.Im sure that will not get filled up anytime soon. Can I view yours in action right now? I tried twice to upload this thing., and all times failed....is it a difficult module to set up with the pop-emails your host offers??

it was a while ago that I uploaded and installed it, from what I remember it's a bit fiddly to set up but nothing TOO hard.

I've got it going on www.scac.asn.au , but it's not available to the G.P. at the moment. If you like, i'll open it up for a few hours so you can see it. It won't do you much good though, because it just has a login box.

That kills it for me.

Bassman,

Sorry for the delay, was watching the speech by Kerry. Question, when a user sign up to the site, does the module automatically assigns a pop-email account to that user namde, or do I have to manually register them an email?

No, you have to do that yourself. All you do when you sign in is enter your full email address as logon yourname@yourdomain.com , and your POP password.

Bassman, what I was refering to, is how the email pop addies are made. Are they automatically made for members when they sign-up to your website via the sqmail module? or does the webmaster has to manually go in and add new pop mail accounts for each member?

There is no link between the creation of XOOPS user accounts and the creation of a pop account.

When a user registers with xoops, the admin must manually create the pop account on whatever pop server you are using.

I have heard that Hivemail($$$) has a XOOPS module that links the two, but am not sure of the details.

How you do it i'm not sure. I have CPanel with my web host, and I can create email addresses through that.
The SQmail module can't create addys AFAIK. All it does is allow webmail access to a prreviously created POP address.
