Meta Tags and footer... HELP!!

I dont wanna change the XOOPS copyrights thing, but i just need to add a few words "Site owned by so and so" ... but its NOT working...
i went to Prefrences/ meta tags and footer... but its not doing any thing! what am i doing wrong?

when change footer at Prefrences --> meta tags and footer ,do you see "database update" page ??

if yes what is your XOOPS version?

i'm using version 2 and all i see in Meta Tags and Footer is;
Meta keywords
Meta Description
Meta Robots
Meta Rating
Meta Author
Meta Copyright
Footer

all i wanted was add something in the footer [site owner's name]

btw, am i allowed to have copyrights under my own site's name, or does it HAVE to be for xoops?

Note: Remember to effect all changes you must go to Sytem Admin -> Preferences -> General Setting [edit] -> and set "update module template.html..." to yes and then select go at bottom of screen. This will update your site to effect all changes (remember to go back once settings have taken effect and set same to no and update once again).

check your theme.html for xoops_footer tag.
maybe footer of your site set in theme.html without xoops_footer tag.

xoops is free&open source portal. u can change everything u want. [edit] except author name of a php file i think [/edit]
