how to add announcements?

i got a few questions, one how to add announcements like the one on the main of Xoops.org title is "Welcome to XOOPS official website!" and right under it there's "Recent Topics" and comments, any ideas?

two is there anyway to install 2 news sections?

three im making the poll to show on blocks but it'snt working

check out news 1.2 i believe:https://xoops.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=1528

also, you can create custom blocks.

regarding poll, make sure you have group permissions set if you have not done so.

go to system admin -> groups
