Stories section - tittle character seting error

Hi,
I installed the stories modules (version 0.9)in my xoops. When I fix the block for the tittle to be 100 characters, it doesn't recognize somehow, it keeps the default # of character doesn't matter how many I set. I try to change this manually (via the block folder) but can't find the line code for that. Can someone please help? Many thanks
