This seems a bit depressing - Does this mean we'll never see an update to X-directory!!!

No, There will be an update to the free xDirectory. The proposed updates will be:

-Alphabetical listings
-Better premium listings

I'm still considering all the options for releasing the full version.

But if it generates money for you, then whats the hurt in contributing a little to the lining of his pocket, after time costs money.

I'm more than willing to pay. The thread seemed to suggest that it wouldn't be released because of licencing issues. I WANT TO PAY.

Some modules are so useful and can be used to make site owners cash that it is only fair that the developer gets paid.

I will be willing to pay also, for a complete and legit module. for something like a replica of yell.com I would most definately be willing to pay......Also, for alot other modules I wish were available for my site....

A better EVENTS, CALENDAR module....for my site..
