Remember users theme from session to session

I'm a little confused here..... Since the system keeps track of the users selected theme in the database, why is it after they've closed thier browser window and come back to the site, that it reverts to the default one? The is driving my users up the wall, having to reselect the theme they want each and every time.

Can anyone shed any light on why XOOPS does this?

Is this the way that XOOPS behaves normally? Not remembering the theme the user selected from session to session?

Download and install the XT_Temas module. It gives you a block where you can select your theme, and you have the option to remember the theme. (replaces the normal theme block)

Fantastic little module IMHO :)

I've done that from the start. However, neither the system theme block nor the XT_Temas block remembers a persons theme from session to session.

So, what I've got here is that XOOPS is unable to remember the theme from session to session for a user? It's stored in the database, why can't we load it and display it when they come back....

I'm sorry, and I don't mean to be rude at all, but this is not how it should work. And I don't know enough about XOOPS to figure out where it's setting the default theme at.

Perhaps one of the XOOPS Guru's can help here?

Like you said in your other post, maybe it's an issue with XOOPS 2.0.7. I have the module running on 3 sites, all of which are 2.0.6 or less, and it works on all of them.

Except I can't get anyone from the XOOPS tema to even read this thread let alone reply to it.

It's not the XOOPS Core team that developed that module. The Brazilian guy from the other thread is the one you want to correspond with, I think he is the module developer.

Sorry, I forgot to respond to this....

It turned out to be the "Remember Me" hack. That was killing XT-Temas. Once I removed that hack, everythign started working smoothly.
