I installed the newest version of XOOPS and everything went smooth. But when I went to the index page right after installation I got this error-message:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_CLONE, expecting T_STRING in c:\wamp\www\xoops\kernel\object.php on line 528

as you can see in the error I installed it on my own system. I have apache running.

Annyone knows whats wrong?

Hi ...
I have the same nasty error ... I cant find any possible reson for this problem in SQL Tables ... Pls help us to find a solution ... 10x

BTW i'm using Win 2003 server

What version of PHP are you running? That sounds like a known issue with XOOPS under PHP 5.

i.'m using xampp server whit PHP Version 5.0.0

Xoops "as-is" will not run under PHP 5. There have been some recent posts on work-arounds, though, that might help you. Here's one of them:https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=21225&forum=8

P.S. I'm going to try adding the keyword php5 here, to see if the search function will pick that up. It doesn't accept words of less than three characters, so searching for "PHP 5" doesn't work too well.

P.P.S. That worked, so I propose that the word php5 be included in any post concerning PHP 5.
