Problem with news section

I can't create categories for news. When i wrote a categorie in the news module and i press ok to create it, my internet xplorer stops at http://www.mysite.com/modules/news/admin/index.php (blank page)

thanks Mithrandir! I solve the problem! I just install again the news module. The problem was in a table_topics
