other than the default and x2t templates, where else can i get different templates for the xoops??

Templates are usually made by the theme designer to fit his/her theme needs.

There are no standalone templates. If the theme designer provides a set of template files, then you will have one; otherwise, the theme will work with the default template.

ideally your templates, by editing your css, would match your theme. you can edit your templates for layout, but the rest should be done with css if possible.
