lostpass dont send email

i dont know exactly what i have done but today find that lostpass.php dont send email and get this error:

Could not instantiate mail()

what is wrong?
i install auto login hack for 2.0.5.l
any help plz

i found that install 4images and change include/common.php and include/checklogin.php get this error

i back this files but still have this error and cant email in every part of my site like registeration , email user , lost pass , ...

quick help plz

in admin --> Preferences --> mail setup i choose php mail () and get this error ( after install 4images and uninstall and back common.php and ...)
then i choose "sendmail" and it write " send email " but no email send from site.
what i have must to do for solve this any way?
