News 1.2 CVS Download?

I am trying to download NEWS 1.2 module trough CVS as anonymous. It doesn't work. I don't know what am I doing wrong! I am using Tortoise CVS under WIN98 and it says this:

CVSROOT=cvs -z3 -d:ext:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/xoops co modules/news

cvs95 checkout: CVSROOT "cvs -z3 -d:ext:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/xoops co modules/news" must be an absolute pathname
cvs95 [checkout aborted]: Bad CVSROOT.

Error, CVS operation failed

I failed as well using the same CVS, but THIS Link helped me out. (Mithrandir's website) Follow the text, but replace /team by /news and you've got it!
